Origin · Finca Lozano

From the highland jungle of the Amazon.

Finca Lozano was founded by the Lozano Cabada family in 1973 with one goal: to become a self-sustaining, fully integrated farm. By 2013 it was exporting high-cup-score origin coffee, and in 2014 the model expanded to four producing families in Rodríguez de Mendoza, Amazonas — building a new kind of business rooted in association, sustainability and trust between growing families and roasters.

The founders

Two paths, one cup.

Born in Moyobamba, in the heart of the Peruvian jungle — brought back home by coffee.

Efraín Vásquez Aspajo

Master roaster · Café con alma de selva
A good coffee isn't just drunk. It's lived.

Born in Moyobamba, Efraín came to coffee first as an aroma, then a craft, then a passion. Six years in — cultivation, processing, roasting — and trained alongside KC O'Keefe of Café Verde, he is today a specialty-coffee roaster working the prized lots of Rodríguez de Mendoza.

Sergio Meléndez

Co-founder · Connecting the jungle to the world
When a cup born in the jungle reaches a table across the world, a story travels too.

Also from Moyobamba, Sergio spent eighteen years in Lima building a career in software and systems architecture with teams across the globe. He returned home to see his land with new eyes — and now uses that experience to connect the Amazon's producers with people who value quality, traceability and origin.
